King Kent Books was created as an outlet for illustrator/author Michael Kennedy Foster to share his original character driven stories that kids and adults are sure to enjoy. Michael is a children's book illustrator and cartoon animator with 30 years experience in the industry.
Each book is sure to be family friendly with a main focus on sharing and teaching Biblical principles.
So why the name King Kent? King Kent Books also serves as an homage to Michael's favorite children's book author & illustrator, Jack Kent who authored and illustrated 40 children's books.
The first book that Michael received when he was only one year old and still has today was, "Mr. Elephant's Birthday Party", written & illustrated by Jack Kent.
Michael decided to combine the word "King" from "King Aroo", Jack Kent's first syndicated cartoon in 1950, and the last name "Kent" to form King Kent Books. Michael then added a happy little chic , a character influenced by Jack's book "Little Peep" then he topped it with a simple crown.
Thank you for visiting King Kent Books.
